WHAT EXACTLY IS JEERA?

Jeera is called as cumin seeds in English. Jeera(cumin) is used as a spice for flavor and aroma. In south asian cooking. It is frequently combined with coriander seeds commonly known as dhaniya in hindi. The combination of jeera and dhaniya is called dhana jeera. Jeera seeds can be used as both ground or whole seeds.
